Watch: ‘I Think I’m Here’, Now On Monster Children’s Vimeo

It is true.

You can now stream our award-winning original short documentary reflecting on the life, attitudes, and career of one of music’s most beloved characters, Nancy Whang, for free.

If you aren’t familiar, Nancy Whang is a creative musical force, known best for her integral role in some of the world’s favorite bands, such as LCD Soundsystem, and The Juan Maclean. She is an extraordinarily accomplished and talented individual, and whether we are dancing in the office or singing them in the shower, we are in constant awe of her.

Despite her enormous status, she is incredibly low-key, shying away from the spotlight whenever possible (including, often, literal spotlights) in favor of time spent at home, doing nothing, hanging out with her dog, Doris, cooking dinner, and simply living.

In the creative world that we are all so lucky to be able to exist in, there is enormous pressure to be constant in your output; to be ceaselessly trekking forward into something, anything - any next thing - which makes Nancy’s almost zen approach to life so interesting to us, and so worthy of a documentary as beautiful, sentimental, studious, and easy as I Think I’m Here.
