Pakistan’s First Skatepark Is Complete

Pakistan has completed the construction of its first skate park thanks in large part to the advocation of our friends Salad Days of Skateboarding, a non-profit organization founded and operated by Nestor Judkins, whose mission is to not only introduce but foster and support skateboarding in underrepresented and underdeveloped communities.

The park, located in the heart of the capital city, Lahore, was completed last week, looks very fun, and opened with jubilance. The scene in Pakistan is maintained by devoted locals with support from Salad Days, but with an aim to be self-sustaining within a few years, and this park (sanctioned by the local government and community) is a big step of progress in that direction. If you haven’t checked out Salad Days, Pakistan, or skateboarding, check out the documentary above.
