You Missed It: Volcom’s Microwave Premiere
Iron & Resin hosted Volcom’s latest skate film, Microwave, last night and well let’s just say you had to be there.
Featuring an additional short film with Coco Ho, tunes from Royal Ratbags, Tomorrow’s Forecast and Mr Finn, art from Mia Phillips, Ella Tubman, Nirvana Tropicana, Coral Fujino, Choock Scatch and Mariaa Urbina, and of course the highly anticipated release of Microwave with Liv Lovelace holding it down for the ladies with her part (read our interview with her here). There were plenty of psyched out groms, xxxx golds selling out and a general buzz that is always welcomed here on the Goldy. The highlight of the night? Getting talking to Jesse Noonan’s mum who said she thought she was doing the right thing by buying her son kneepads and helmets when he started getting into skating realising pretty quickly it only encouraged him to launch himself off things like the animal we know him even more. Hindsight hey.
