Last night, Monster Children issue 75 launched in America.
We partnered with (barged into and took over) the lovely Noah Los Angeles space and filled it with as many magazines, tote bags, mezcal bottles, wine pours, and beers as we possibly could, and you came out for it. For that, we thank you. On that note, a lot of thank you’s are in order, starting with Noah for hosting us and kindly allowing us and all of our friends to invade your immaculately decorated interiors; Fat Tire, Kirin Ichiban, and Easy Does It for providing the cans of beer, all of which were crushed; Sam Serra for providing some pours of the pinot noir good stuff, all of which was sipped; Dark Horse Mezcal for getting us both drunk and highly caffeinated; Ari and all of untitled (halo) for DJing; Sierra and the crew for helping to get all forty two of those photos on the wall despite a rain storm and a leaky roof; Andrew Dorosy for frontside flipping that bitch; Jake for showing us how to flow around the bowl; AS Colour for the tote bags which vanished almost as quick as the magazine itself; the real star of the show, Barry McGee, who was next door setting up a massive art show next door at Jeffrey Deitch; and finally, all of the photographers who allowed us to print and post up their incredible work: Ryan Allan, Daniel Arnold, Spruce Bohen, Santiago Carrillo, Ben Colen, Luke Coulson, Chloe Flaherty, Bryce Golder, Dougal Gorman, Paul Grund, Ethan Jones, Nestor Judkins, Duncan Macfarlane, Hunter Martinez, Tristan Martinez, Sam McKenna, Chad Moore, Sam Muller, Kalman Ocheltree, Alex Papke, Sierra Skinner, Alexandra Skye, Allan Stoops, and Caleb Sugai.
