We’ll See You At The Avalanches

The Avalanches are coming home in early 2027, playing six shows around Australia and bringing more than twenty five fucking years of beautifully mangled samples, strange noises and dancefloor alchemy with them.

The tour (full schedule linked below) stops in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, with a second Perth show already added after the first sold out, before wrapping things up beneath the sails at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. It arrives alongside No Bad Memories, their fourth album, out October 16, which digs through the digital junk drawer of old jingles, start-up sounds, obsolete hardware and half-remembered audio to make something new. They’ve already been busy testing the noise with Jamie xx, Karen O, John Glacier, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and a stack of other collaborators, and on this particular stretch, HAAi joins them, making the whole thing a fairly good excuse to spend a night getting your ears rearranged.
