Meet Your Upstarters FInalists: STimpies
Moody but not for nothing, Stimpies is a band from Frankston, VIC.
A relaxed mix of earnest and sweet aggressive assertion, they’ve got a lot to say about the insecure joy of living simply. Their music draws on aspects of country, punk, and bits of the rock and roll spectrum. They’re unafraid approach to musical composition make them exceedingly adaptable to the ups and downs of a life lived well, and we can’t wait to hear them play a bit of feeling today at the Monster Children Showcase at BIGSOUND Brisbane.

The real deal. Hand-picked rock and roll. If you don’t know, now you know.

Sydney traffic. But we ain’t spending any time on it because in the meantime, every three months, a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in North Queensland.

3am bread delivery driver.
What song do you wish you had written that someone else wrote?
More Than A Feeling by Boston
How important is lyricism in songwriting?
It's 50/50 - sometimes it makes the song, sometimes the music speaks for itself.
What is a perfect record?
Our upcoming album ‘Doing Good’ out October 9.
What would you do with the 20 grand if you won it?
Put it towards travel and touring. We can’t wait to share music with people all around the world.
