Watch: The Best Thing In Surfing In A Long Time

We love everything Drag Board Co. puts out, and we’re sure you all do too.

Their formula is simple, and perfect. Take a look at all the ridiculous trends in the surf industry, pull back the focus a bit, and then take an absolutely justified piss on it all. Each film is an authentic realization that this thing that we do, which is bending the, you know, always-reliable ocean to our will so we can ride frictionless across its more cranked out set-ups, is a completely preposterous enterprise. And quite corny. Oh, and then splice in some very high-level filmmaking with some very Y2K-coded tunes, toss in a few local legend cameos too, keep it tongue-in-cheek, hit export, and then give a thumbs up as the praise and glory rolls through. Like we said, a winning formula.

RIP4, Drag’s latest, just dropped. It stars all your favorites, is framed expertly, and is just the best time, as expected. To celebrate the release, we texted a few of the surfers who converted to prone-zone for the film to ask them just how sick sponging it is. Only Noa Deane got back to us, and he said, “I’m over in Ireland. How are you?” Always personable and the sweetest, that Noa.

Hit play and enjoy above.
