Photos Of You At Laneway Sydney
Photography by Sam Brumby.
A yearly highlight of our sad beautiful lives - the trans-continental music extravaganza called Laneway Festival - shined bright across Australia and has now dimmed, awaiting to be woke again next year.
A personal highlight of Laneway Sydney was the sheer volume of people in attendance who were in some form of culturally identifiable costuming. Not since the punk days of ‘77 have musical tribes been so distinguishable; the pink hats of the Roans, the Doc’s and tight shirts of the Alex G indies, the luminescent tinges of the Pantheress’. I love enthusiasm, I love music, and I love to see you all there, sweaty and happy in a field with your proudest colors and a cool Young Henrys in your hand. Oh sweet tribes of music, au revoir.
