Hjalte Halberg Is A Photographer
Every fall I go to south of Denmark on a little island and make cider with my friends and family. During covid we build a sauna there. So after working on the cider all day we would jump in the sauna and take cold baths with all the apples.
We have occasional editorial meetings here at Monster Children.
We sit and talk about what we are working on, what we have coming up, what we’d like to do next. One of our favorite go-to’s is simple and obvious, which is cool-person-who-does-some-cool-shit-but-also-does-different-cool-shit. For example, professional skateboarder Hjalte Halberg. He’s a skater, a designer, and possess an enormous amount of prowess in those fields, but he is also quite an interesting and keen photographer, and so rather than posting about kickflips and shit all the time, we decided to get to know this person in a different way: through the lens of his Contax T2. Here’s what he came back with.

We had a crawfish party but forgot to take them out of the freezer in time. So I put them on roof to defrost.

Kevin showed me this stretch years back and I have been doing it almost everyday ever since.

Just like how the feathers, palmtrees and the paterns on the ring almost have the same shape.
