Geese At The Lot

A couple of years ago, way back in the funner and sunnier days of 2023, we said that Geese are a band you should know.

That was following the release of their album, 3D Country, which, at the time, was quite impactful. Little did we (or they) know then, that 3D Country was an early album in a triumphant succession of music from the NYC-based band, including a highly-acclaimed solo album by lead singer Cameron Winter. Where 3D had a tinge of Ween (and a few other tinges that we don’t talk about and which we had to cut from the above linked interview), their latest album, Getting Killed, is a straight forward rock and roll album created out of the ether in a matter of days in a studio in Los Angeles.

To celebrate the album’s release, Geese played a free outdoor set in an empty lot in Brooklyn, attracting nearly four thousand spectators. Among them, photographer and friend, Caroline Safran, who shot both the performance and the after party. Thank you, Caroline. What a star.
