Vans Skateboarding has joined forces (again) with Dime for a fresh take on the Skate Half Cab ‘92.
By all accounts, Dime has gone with the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach, letting the iconic silhouette do the heavy lifting, while they’ve gone with an oxford tan palette, tonal stitching and branding across the tongue, quarter panel and eyelet hangtag. The luxe suede upper features Dime and Half Cab logos debossed across the heel counter and quarter panel, as well as a wavy Dime print on the clear outsole.
The collab has dropped right on time, as Dime and Vans are about to return with the most glorious event in skateboarding: the Dime Glory Challenge. Featuring 50 of the best skateboarders testing their skills on increasingly terrifying obstacles, the Glory Challenge is all about going fast and hard—something which we asked Louie Lopez, Dennis Busenitz, Mark Suciu and Jamal Smith about here.
But first thing’s first: before you tune into the challenge this Saturday, September 17, make sure you take a look at Dime and Vans new shoe and pick them up exclusively through Dime beginning September 17, or online at vans.com/HalfCab and select retailers on September 22, 2022.
