The Quiet Life x People I’ve Loved

The Quiet Life has been ‘on and off’ since 1997, but these days they’re mostly ‘on’—as in ‘on to it.’

They design and make great stuff, but they also do good stuff, and their latest good thing is a clothing capsule with People I’ve Loved to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. ‘What is Cystic Fibrosis?’ you might ask and then add, ‘it sounds awful.’ It is awful. And because May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month, I’ll give you a quick rundown. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening disorder that affects mostly the lungs, but can also create problems in the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestines. Basically, the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive fluids become thick and sticky, clogging up the various tubes, ducts and passageways in the body, causing breathing problems, infection, lethargy, an inability to gain weight, the list goes on. It sucks. And it’s a genetic condition with no known cure. QL and PIL have created this capsule with a cure in mind, and we think you should jump in with your big heart, fat wallet and good looks and score some of the gear at thequietlife.com. All profits go to the CF Foundation and their ongoing search for a cure. Do it.
