The Official Joy Division and New Order Podcast is Almost Here

The definitive story of Joy Division and New Order is on its way, and they’ve left no stone unturned.

Transmissions: The Definitive Story of Joy Division and New Order will launch October 29th, and over the course of the eight-episode series, will tell the story of the rise and demise of Joy Division, and the subsequent formation of New Order in the wake of frontman Ian Curtis’ tragic death at age 23. (Prior to his death, all the band members had pledged not to continue under the Joy Division name should any member leave.)

Featuring interviews with surviving band members—always a good sign—Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert, the podcast will also roll out a slew of high profile fans and contemporaries of the band, including Damon Albarn, Liam Gallagher, Virgil Abloh, Johnny Marr, Karen O, Bobby Gillespie, Hot Chip, Honey Dijon, Perry Farrell, Pet Shop Boys, Stereolab, and more.
