Quiksilver Reveal Recycling Method

Timothy J. Grills

We all know Quiksilver make boardshorts out of recycled plastic bottles, but does anyone have any idea what that process looks like?

They’re taking bottles, plastic water bottles, and somehow converting them into boardshorts. If they did this 200 years ago, they’d be tried for witchcraft before having a charred stake driven up their bottom and their eyebrows shaved off. But it’s 2020 now, and anything goes. You can turn frogs into motorcycles and saxophones into SodaStreams if you want, no one cares.

Fortunately, the makers of The Big Les Show have made an in-depth and highly educational film that explains exactly how the process of turning bottles into boardies works, and you can watch it by vigorously shaking the device you’re reading this on and saying, ‘Look at me, look at me, I’m a real boy now, look at me.’
