Party Time! Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade

If you weren’t in NYC on Saturday, you missed the Big Apple’s event of the year: the 31st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade.

Last year, the parade was a covid-enforced virtual event, but this year it was IRL and just as festive and ridiculous as you’d expect something called the 31st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade to be. A few years ago, the parade was relocated to the East River Amphitheatre (the Tompkins Park dog run was getting too small), which is where it went down this year; but with work going ahead on rebuilding East River Park to control flooding, there’s no telling where the parade will be held next year. Carnegie Hall? Very possibly. Anyway, hundreds of dogs and thousands of spectators attended the event and weather conditions were said to be purrrrfect. Am I right? Here’s some highlights.
