Billabong have just launched their latest Gallery collection, ‘Biliiyaming Ngaanya Jurriiyay Ngaarlu (Through Me Flows Water)’ with Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man Otis Carey.
And if you’ll excuse the swears, it looks frickin’ sick. Otis’ art and surfing are inspired by his community and the interconnectedness of country. ‘This collection reflects the pride I have for my culture,’ says Carey, ‘and the spiritual connections given to me by my natural surroundings and my ancestors.’
Very cool. The collection includes tees, boardies, caps, short-sleeves, bikinis and more—and a portion of all sales is going to the Kulai Preschool Aboriginal Corporation. Again, very cool.
