The Monster Children Short Film Awards Presented by Wānaka.
Monster Children and Wānaka are asking filmmakers from all over to submit a visual story to be judged against this year’s theme: A Sense of Place. There are no limits to where this sense of place can come from. For example, your sense of place might derive from your hometown or perhaps your grandmother’s house. Then again, it might just come from down the back of the couch—that’s a place. The most important thing is that your film possesses a strong feeling of connection and belonging and is at least 30 seconds long, but no longer than 5 minutes. Easy!
The winner will receive—get this—$10,000 NZD cash prize, Sony hardware equipment worth $15,000, an all-expenses-paid trip to Wānaka, New Zealand, plus production costs to co-direct their short film idea with Monster Children Films, and the local film industry.
