Modern Classic Ep03 – Thomas Bexon

Modern Classic is a mini series focused on timeless creators who mix the best of old and new traditions with a fresh perspective. Next up: Thomas Bexon

Photography by Woody Gooch. Video by Beren Hall.

Hailing from one of the finest world-class waves in Noosa Heads, Australia, Thomas Bexon has been shaping boards for well over a decade. His shapes come from the best source known to man: necessity. When nobody seemed to be making the boards Bexon wanted to ride, he stepped up to his own metaphorical plate and still continues to deliver some of the best boards surfers have seen, paying particular attention to rolled bottoms and a shape for every wave, fine-tuning them as he sees fit.
