Modern Classic is our new series focused on timeless creators who mix the best of old and new traditions with a fresh perspective. Next up: Forrest Minchinton
Photography by Andrew Peters. Video by Chad Huff.
When you grow up among the same legends that created The Endless Summer, you’re bound to pursue the thrill of it—or at least that’s what Forrest Minchinton has been doing. From dirt to sea, Minchinton has been thriving in what seemingly appears to be two juxtaposed worlds, where he finds a kind of symbiotic relationship. No swell? He opts to hit the dirt and miles of desert exuding a type of finesse in motocross. When the waves are calling, Minchinton has been shaping boards for years, grabbing the right board for the right wave. A dynamic duo to say the least.
