A Message From Bob Hawke

In 2018, we had the pleasure of meeting with former Prime Minister of Australia, the late Mr Bob Hawke.

Alongside our friends at Hawkes Brewing Co., we spent a couple of hours with Mr Hawke, chatting about his passion for the land we live on, and why young people should give a damn about Australia’s environmental future.

It would be one of his last interviews.

This video is a small piece of a much larger documentary project Monster Children Films has in the works, but we’re releasing it now to remind ourselves as much as anybody what true leadership looks like.

It’s a humbling message from Mr Hawke, who puts things simply and eloquently about the stark alternatives we face if we continue to destroy our environment.

When it comes down to it, all Australians—particularly young Australians—must realise that the future of the world is in our own hands. We need to demand leadership. We need to be informed and work in a sustainable environmental direction. But most of all, we need to get off our butts, off our phones and into the real world to fight for our home and environment. Not just for us, but for generations to come.

See you at the protest.
