‘Free therapy? Virtual pub? Watch Balley TV and you won’t learn a thing.’
That’s the premise for the talk show/free therapy session/virtual pub hosted by IDLES enigmatic frontman Joe Talbot, and it’s brilliant. What started as a quarantine entertainment show and a creative outlet for Talbot during lockdown has kept on rolling, with the latest episode dropping today, filmed at House of Vans London.
As well as in-depth conversations with musicians Katy J Pearson, Deep Tan, Nuha Ruby Ra and slowthai, the new hour-long episode features live performances from the guests including an absolute blinder from IDLES and slowthai of their track ‘Model Village’. (If you didn’t think the original could get any better, wait till you give this version a listen.) Check out the new ep below, and if you like what you see go check out their other episodes featuring guests like Arlo Parks, Mike Skinner from The Streets, Nadya from Pussy Riot and more here. Someone give this man a primetime slot.
