‘Idle Hands’ is a Must-See South Coast Exhibition

It’s not the first time we’ve checked in with the cultural rumblings going on far from Australian city centres.

With creatives deciding to escape the city for a slower lifestyle, cheaper rent prices and wide open spaces, there’s no shortage of exhibitions such as this popping up. Idle Hands, a photographic exhibition on show this weekend at Cliffton School of Arts in Illawarra, will hang the works of ten artists who now call the Coal Coast home: Annabelle Zermatten, Dane Taylor, Elise Idiens, James Kates, Mark Thompson, Michael Fairbairn, Rae Begley, Riccardo Quirke, Todd Griggs and William Robertson.

If you’re in the area this long weekend, make sure to check out this eclectic showcase of photographic works transporting you from the turquoise lakes of Nepal, to the sandy shores of the East Coast, and everywhere in-between.

Idle Hands is on show at Clifton School of Arts from Fri 28 Sept until Sun 30 Sept. For more details, head here.
