‘The Follow-Up’ is the Best Film Made in Quarantine Yet

In times of great difficulty comes great art.

And my god is the new short film from Benjamin Berman great. The director behind The Amazing Johnathan Documentary—his debut feature which got rave reviews at Sundance—has just released a five-minute short made from the confines of quarantine, and it’s my favourite thing to come out of the COVID-19 shit-show yet.

Berman taps into our collective anxieties, by reaching out for reassurance from celebrities on Cameo. The short film is a screen capture of Berman trawling through the internet, Googling coronavirus and seeking solace from Flava Flav, Dog the Bounty Hunter, NSYNC’s Joey Fatone, Home Improvement’s Richard Karn, and more.
