It ain’t all about getting there the fastest now is it… How many people do you know who dragged their arse through a university degree to then get a job in a completely different field and not use it. It took almost a decade working in PR and production before Sydney photographer Rae Begley pulled together her debut exhibition.
If you ask her, I think she’ll agree it was worth the wait. Her debut exhibition ANNAPURNA is a series of photographs from the Annapurna region, a massif of the Himalaya’s in Nepal.
The work is a reflection on the contrasting elements seen in the extremes of nature. Majestic and spiritual, the sacred valleys and ranges are captured around an altitude of 4000m in the heartland of the Annapurna ranges and they depict a rapidly evolving landscape.
The scale and power of the land is of epic proportions, offering a breathtaking ‘otherworldly’ beauty.
Opens Tuesday 16th 5 – 8pm and continues until Saturday a M.M.P.G, Level 1 499 Crown St, Surry Hills, Sydney. (Above Title Store).
