Doggface208 Drops Official Tidal Playlist

2020 has been a massive year for Nathan Apodaca.

The 37-year-old Mexican American has been everywhere since his TikTok video went viral. The clip that kicked off Apodaca’s fame (in case you’re just coming out of a coma) features the factory worker skateboarding to work after his truck broke down. Not only is he gliding down the freeway without a care in the world, he’s also casually drinking from a bottle of Ocean Spray Cran-Rasberry juice while mouthing along to Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams.’

The feel-good vid of the year struck a chord and quickly became a viral sensation. It certainly helped when Fleetwood Mac tweeted the clip and Mick Fleetwood replicated the video as his first TikTok (71 million views and countinhg). But the good times haven’t stopped there.

Apodaca, who goes by Doggface208 (a tribute to the late Nate Dogg), has received thousands in donations from fans on Venmo. Ocean Spray also got in touch, gifting the labourer a new truck filled with a selection of cranberry juices. Then there’s the dentist who gave him a set of $40,000 veneers and the endless opportunities that have seen Apodaca shoot a music video and commercial with Snoop Dogg and collaborate with Fat Sal’s Deli to create his own sandwich.

Doggface208 can now add music curator to his list of achievements after streaming service Tidal asked him to create a playlist for the platform. ‘Songs To Skate To’ is an epic 104-track compilation of old and new songs, including classic like The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude,’ Blue Oyster Cult’s ‘(Don’t Fear) The Reaper’ and Otis Reading’s ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay’, alongside more recent hits like Gorillaz’s ‘Fell Good Inc.’ Bruno Mars ‘Marry You,’ and Dr. Dre’s ‘Keep Their Heads Ringin’.’

Check out the full playlist below and keep up to date with Apodaca via his Instagram and TikTok.
