Aundrey Guillaume is a talented lyricist with an ear for finding the edge of surreality.

Through elements of voice manipulation, introspective lyricism, and the unexpected incorporation of guitar, Aundrey makes music that convinces you to question yourself, and whether or not you really are hearing what you’re hearing. Narratives weave throughout the multi-melodic structure of his compositions and intricately produced hooks melt into very fun, very listenable music that is as applicable to a long journey toward a night out as it is to the comedown of the morning. This is music We are fans.

Who are you?

My name is AUNDREY GUILLAUME and I am a musical artist. I’ve always had a passion for music ever since I was a little kid.

What do you do?

I am a producer, musician and artist.

How long have you been doing that?

I’ve been producing for six years, I’ve been a musician most of my life and I’ve been an artist going on about thirteen years now.

What is your favourite song right now and why?

I actually don’t have a favourite song at the moment. There are so many great artists that I listen to.

If you weren’t doing music, what would you be doing?

Most likely acting.

Some slang you catch yourself saying? (Ie. That slaps)

I say ‘fire’ a lot when something is really cool that I like.

What do you do outside of music, and how does that thing influence or affect your art?

I workout/train at least four to five times a week. It helps me clear my head so when I do get to be creative, I’m coming from a clear mindset.

The best/worst thing about the music industry?

I would say just the waiting game. You never know when your time is coming but when it does just make sure you're ready.

Something you’re proud of?

I’m proud of myself. Even though I still have a long way to go, I’m proud of the person I’m becoming.

Something anyone can do today to make the world a better place?

Just love more and be patient with yourself and people.

Where do you draw from in terms of the messaging and meaning of your music?

Life experiences help me a lot when creating my music and also finding different sonics/sounds.

I would say keep going. You’re only getting better and becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Your aesthetic is very distinct. What inspires you visually?

Visually I see all my records/albums as a movie. I tend to take a lot of references that I see in todays films and implicate it into my vision.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve overcome so far in your industry?

I’ve overcame always seeking validation or recognition for my work. I believe in do time all the work I’ve put in and continuously am putting in will be noticed.

What was surprisingly easy to do?

Connecting and networking.

What advice might you give to you from 5 years ago? 10 years ago?

I would say keep going. You’re only getting better and becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be.

What is your hidden talent or something you are really good at that is completely unrelated to the thing we are interviewing you about?

I’m really good at impersonations. I see myself down the road doing movies or sitcoms.

Who do you think is doing it the best/coolest in your industry right now/biggest influence?

I really watch how a lot of my favorite artists and creators are changing the game so it’s kind of hard to choose. The list for me right now would be (Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Jay-Z, Drake, Pharrell etc). But my biggest influence would honestly be me. I’m learning new traits about myself each and every day. I will soon make my mark in this industry and other industries in do time.
