Worlds Collide

You know how you love Tasmanian whisky, but also beer from New Zealand? What if we told you there was a way to have both at the same time?

Tasmania’s LARK (perhaps the best whisky distiller south of Scotland) and New Zealand’s Garage Project (possibly the best nano brewer south of everything) have joined forces for the purpose of creating The Lark X Garage Project Fresh IPA Cask Worlds Collide series, a unique dram that brings together an unrepeatable palate of peaches and cream, the distinctive malty character of a hazy IPA, and a fresh as sunshine grapefruit finish. But wait—there’s more beneath this professionally photographed bottle and box from The Lark X Garage Project Fresh IPA Cask Worlds Collide series.

‘Worlds’ and ‘Collide’ are two words that bring to mind something very violent and destructive in outer space, or that song by INXS where Michael Hutchence has feelings for someone while walking in Prague in 1988. Right now, though, we’re talking exclusively about whisky. But then we’re not, because the Worlds Collide series isn’t just a whisky. Nor is it a vodka, a bag of chips, or a company that manufactures scarves and tophats for mice. Worlds Collide is a limited-release celebration of controlled chaos and rule-breaking. This stuff is the spirit of adventure. Lark whisky (Australia’s first carbon-neutral distillery, by the way), seasoned with Garage Project beer, sealed in a bottle with yellow wax, and then wrapped in the incredible kaleidoscopic collage work of renowned artist and dyed-in-the-wool Tasmanian Joel Crosswell.

Joel has created four unique designs to choose from, and you should, of course, collect them all in a locked metal chest and bury them up the back fence behind the lemon tree because, again, The Lark X Garage Project Fresh IPA Cask Worlds Collide series is a limited-release drop and one worth saving like you would something really nice that you’d prefer not to share with anyone.

We do, however, recommend you purchase a bottle or two to actually experience with and inside your mouth because how often do you get to actually taste Heaven? By our reckoning, only once, at the Pearly Gates when God isn’t looking if you’re the kind of person who has to taste things behind people’s backs. The Lark X Garage Project Fresh IPA Cask Worlds Collide series is distinctive, rebellious, and utterly moreish.

The Lark X Garage Project Fresh IPA Cask Worlds Collide series is 100% recyclable.
