In case you didn’t know, we made a podcast called Analog To Digital: 20 Years of Culture and Change.
Monster Children turned twenty this year and after all this time, what are we without our friends? Unemployed, for one, because there would be nothing for us to cover. Without our friends doing cool things, we’d have nothing to write about, and nothing to present to you. Imagine that: every single one of our favorite surfers, skaters, bands, and artists vanished into thin air. We are talking about the very death of culture. It is high stakes. Take it seriously.
Anyway, with Monster Children turning a glorious and legally-consenting twenty, we asked our best friends to look back on the last twenty years of their creative, professional, and personal lives, particularly taking note of what has changed. When asked what has been the biggest cultural shift, every single one eventually came to a single point of consideration: the shift from analog to digital. And so, the name of this podcast series was born.
