Watch: Sonny’s Porch Presents Dust Live At The Monster Children SXSW Official Showcase

dust are a band from Newcastle (which is not in Melbourne, Naz) that completely fucking blew us away.

For how chill those BBQ-eating, river-jumping, Walmart-visiting dudes are, when they played live in their closing slot at the Monster Children SXSW Official Showcase Presented by Sonny’s Porch a couple of weeks ago, they cut loose and threw the fuck down. It’s a difficult thing, closing out a showcase. The time slot is late, the crowd has been through five hours of relentless entertainment, and the tension is high. They’ve hung on this long, and they demand it to be worth it. That’s why we put our faith in dust, the Australian deal closer. Watch them and learn.

Neither this video nor the showcase itself would have been possible without Sonny’s Porch, the new music program from our friends at Sun Bum. They not only protect and nurture your skin from the sun’s rays, but also protect and nurture your ears from shitty music. We love them. You should, too.
