Watch: A New Richard Moore Mini Doco
Richard Moore is one of our favorite Melbournites.
Melbourneans. Melbournoids? I don’t know. But he’s one of our favorites. The man is a skater and an artist and a good one at both. This mini documentary by Cameron Sparkes and Sam Coady tells the story of our friend Richard who, at the age of twenty nine, was diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye condition which did not prevent him from pursuing his passions for the board and the beautiful. Give it a watch.
"The film offers a window into the life of Melbourne-based skateboarder and artist Richard Moore, who was officially diagnosed with the rare degenerative eye condition Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) at the age of 29. Filmed over three days, it follows Richard at home and through his daily routine, while also capturing his passion for pushing adaptive skateboarding. Woven throughout is his deep connection to Fitzroy (Victoria), its iconic skatepark, and the local community that plays such an important role in his life. Both reflective and personal, we hoped to allow Richard’s voice and perspective to guide the story with openness, honesty, and sincerity".
The film is proudly supported by Richard's friends at Hemley Skateboarding, and NB# (Australia).
