The Works: Your Summer Plans Sorted
Summer is lining up to hit a little harder than usual.
THE WORKS is a new series of six cutting-edge warehouse events taking over Carriageworks this summer. One of Sydney’s most iconic industrial spaces reworked into a month-long pressure cooker of sound, light and late nights.
Presented by Finely Tuned, the minds behind Lost Paradise and Lost Sundays, THE WORKS pairs Carriageworks’ raw concrete bones with precision lighting, bespoke production and a surplus of sound designed to be felt in your chest. This is not background music. This is lose track of time, sweat through your shirt, stay till the lights come up energy.
Across six nights, more than twenty of the world’s best electronic artists roll through, spanning global icons, underground heroes and future heavyweights. Underworld. Michael Bibi. Ben Böhmer. Chris Stussy. CamelPhat. I Hate Models. Ross From Friends presents Bubble Love. VTSS. Josh Baker. Prospa. Roza Terenzi. Pretty Girl and plenty more.
Taking cues from the world’s great warehouse institutions and filtering them through a distinctly Sydney lens, THE WORKS is built loud, dark and deliberate. Big room ambition with underground intent. High-end production without losing the grit. These are the tickets everyone’s chasing this summer.
The series launches December 29th with British icons Underworld bringing their legendary live show into the industrial heart of the city. Yes, Born Slippy will happen. From there, things only escalate. I Hate Models brings raw, frenetic chaos on January 2nd. Ben Böhmer follows with a euphoric audiovisual live show on January 3rd. Marc Rebillet flips the script on January 4th alongside A Trak, Young Franco and Madame Reve. Chris Stussy takes control on January 10th, before CamelPhat close the series on January 16th with a final full throttle release.
In a city better known for harbour views and outdoor stages, THE WORKS flips the script and builds something bigger, darker and unapologetically loud.
See you on the floor.
