Stuff We’re Diggin

As the end of summer rounds out, the change of seasons has us seeking out a bit of a refresh.

It’s that time of the year when you finally reach for the jumpers pressed to the back of the cupboard only to find them covered in mould, or when your hot summer fling moves back to somewhere sunnier, leaving you to find out they’ve taken your favourite hat. Whatever the reason is to treat yourself to something new and shiny, we’ve got you covered. As always though, if you don’t need it don’t buy it, but if you do –these would be our top picks.

Little Tokyo Table Tennis (LTTT) Caps

LTTT, a subsidiary of cult label Poche Studio was born from a love of ping pong and a vision to create a safe space for diverse communities in LA. What started out as weekly community ping pong nights in Downtown LA, transformed into its very own brand with a signature logo that is starting to be seen worldwide. The comfiest hats ever owned with all profits going back into the club.

The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin

From the nine-time Grammy-awarded producer Rick Rubin comes a study into creativity and how it relates to everyone walking this planet. Having worked with artists from all different genres, Rick knows a thing or two about honing in on someone’s talent to create something beautiful. In his own words, ‘I set out to write a book about what to do to make a great work of art. Instead, it revealed itself to be a book on how to be.’ A book for anyone in a slump even if you’re an accountant who doesn’t believe they have a single creative bone in their body.

The Chateau Dept.

How is it that’s its 2023 and office chairs are still ugly? The Chateau Dept. might just be the answer to this. With a direct DM via Instagram, you can order your very own customisable retro-inspired office chair with personalised colours, seat materials, wood finish and seat frame. With a lead time of about a month, these bad boys are then shipped directly to your doorstep so you can reply to emails in style.

Tsubota Pearl Lighters

Tsubota Pearl has been making lighters and other nifty items since 1952 with a focus on handcrafted quality with each lighter produced using artisan metalwork from start to finish in specialised workshops around Tokyo. The patterned numbers are spray painted by hand so no two are the same. As nice looking as it is useful, even if smoking isn’t cool anymore.

Sig Zane X Saturdays NYC

Sig Zane, one of Hawaii’s most celebrated designers has teamed up with Saturdays NYC to create a collection that everyone in the office has a favourite pick of. With designs reflected from a lifetime spent as a surfer, fisherman, hula dancer and artist the collection embodies Hawai’i’s deep culture blended with Saturdays NYC contemporary take on fashion.

Last Resort AB VM001 Sneakers

A nice unassuming silhouette designed entirely with skaters in mind. Comes in both high and low profiles and a few different colourways to take your pick from. More often than not, simple is better and these sneakers from Last Resort prove this case to be entirely true.

Ojas Artbook Shelf Speakers

From two decades worth of experimentation, engineering and explorations in the audio underground, Ojas audio equipment prides itself on bringing realistic, natural sound to the listener. These artbook numbers are no different, packing loads of punch into minimal design.

Welcome Autumn waves with a new whip from the boys up in Tweed, Album Surf. This Lightbender design is a fresh take on the fish, with a sleeker outline and foil. As beautiful to look at as it is to ride.
