Jake Anderson On New Former Video, ‘Plastic Bottle Service’
There is a new skate video busting down the door to your fucking eyeballs and it is called Plastic Bottle Service.
The new video by our friends at Former features Austyn Gillette, Jake Anderson, and Myles Strampello, was filmed over a couple years and on a few continents. Thailand to Portugal, them Former boys have done it again. What have they done? By the looks of it, a lot of backside flips, a lot of very long grinds, and with more style and finesse than the saggy mob flippers that have plagued my Instagram Reels as of late. In addition to the film, they are releasing a photo book of the same name featuring photography by Dakota Mullins and Ryan Allan of the trips, the tricks, and the treats, releasing congruently with the release of the video at www.formermerchandise.com. My favorite photo is of Jake in Thailand in a yard in Speedo and boxing gloves. My second favorite photo is of Jake in a pool in Thailand in a Speedo and boxing gloves knocking Austyn out (Ryan Allan confirmed Jake was the winner, I’m not just making an educated assumption). Who got your favorite trick?
Myles tail slide pop out.
Favorite spot?
Little flat bar line with the front board shuv. Was fun to cruise in and out of the street.
Least favorite spot?
Shit I can’t think of anything to be honest. I’m still hungover from the Ventura premier last night
Most difficult thing you had to do for a trick?
That ledge line with the fackie backtail at the end was annoying. Kept fucking up the 180 up cause the ledge was pretty damn skinny to ride on.
Unexpected victory?
That ledge line haha.
What’s your standard van food?
Taco Bell.
If the three trips were three songs what would those songs be?
Portugal and I’ve always been crazy Waylon Jennings cause we was being a lil crazy out there. It was the same trip.
Bangkok Weatherman Hank Williams Jr cause it was hot as hell.
How’s your ankle feeling?
Pretty good. Now trying to get my confidence back.
Weirdest thing about Myles?
He rips an electric weed pen and in the same breath rips a nicotine vape pen. Kinda back it though
Weirdest thing about Austyn?
We can be sleeping in a ditch and he’ll still make sure he dresses good. Little jealous to be honest.
How do you stay sane/deal with pressure on a filming trip?
Take it day by day. I get sparked when somebody else gets a clip. Makes me wanna keep up with the crew. Pretty stock answer.
