Goods And Services: Oakley Flagship

Nope, that is not the Deathstar, its the entrance to the new Oakley Flagship store located at their headquarters in Lake Forest, California.

We all know what Oakley is most famous for; the high performance, super fast, speed dealing sunglasses, but there is much more to the brand than Eye Jackets and Frogskins. Did you know they started out making BMX handlebar grips? Since then they have been at the forefront of technical innovation across the board in sports, style and some pinnacle marketing. Whether or not you’re in the market for a new pair of shades, it is fascinating the visit the new Oakley Flagship store to check the whole premises and spend some time in the museum at the back end of the store. If you’re lucky enough you might be able to jump on a tour too, but be warned, once you see the superiority of the research and technology put in place to make those glasses, you will never want to wear different pair of shades again.

We got Oakley’s royal veteran Brian Takumi to draw us a picture and talk us through a couple of hard hitting questions that we still had after the tour concluded.
