Disposable: L.A. Witch

Irita worked on this chainmail top on tour. It came out sick.

If you aren’t already aware, we have called the city of Los Angeles home for a great many years.

Don’t get me wrong, Sydney and New York and Melbourne are also home, but we have a stake in LA. We like the scene there. We like the people in that scene and the music coming out of it. Naturally, then, we listen to quite a bit of L.A. Witch, a band from you know where comprised of Sade Sanchez, Irita Pai, and Ellie English. We handed Sade a camera on the New York City stop of their North American tour and handed her a disposable, this is what she came back with.

Green room rituals;  pace, write a set list, prepare a drinks for stage. Et voila.

The artist who painted our album cover, Alex Barton, revealing the actual painting.

Ellie setting up for our session with radio station WFMU.

Daiistarr from Austin, TX. They were rad to tour with. We shared some band members on some shows. Ellie would go up and play some percussion with them and we had Nick and Derek play synth and percussion with us. Miss them.

Having a Sazerac at one of the oldest bars in New Orleans called Lafitte’s Blacksmith shop in the French Quarter. It was built in the 1700’s.

Pit stop at Gatorville where we bought some cajun spices. They also had some real alligators in the back of the shop. They were epic.

Me posing with one of the gators. Photo taken by our FOH guy, Tommy Joy.

SOS! Thats a truck stop.  Spotted this crazy accident on the hwy.

With Buc-ee One of our favorite rest stops in the south.

In Austin setting up and doing our sound check in the brutal southern heat. The employees of Hotel Vegas gave us some towels in a bucket of ice to cool down.

Ellie and her precious left overs.

The rhythm section before our show at Pappy & Harriets.
