10 Things I Hate: Ebou Sanyang
Photography by Adrián Rios.
We had the rude timing of asking Ebou Sanyang to do this department as he was on a gurney at a hospital headed into surgery.
The Polar pro from Spain with arguably the highest pop in the game was getting put down hard by some anesthesia when he agreed to do this, which is quite a special thing; his last thoughts before coming under the knife were ‘Monster Children,’ and, ‘hatred’. How sweet. Post-op, out on the street, and with some delicious hospital food in his system, these are the ten things Ebou Sanyang hates most about his surgery.
Get your hands on issue 74, here.
1. I hate the way hospitals make me feel, reminding me how fragile we can be.
2. I hate the never-ending wait time next to really sick people, it makes me feel sick.
3. Really hate the hospital's silence.
4. Hate the fact that I had to run from a hospital to not get charged over $13k.
5. I hate how much I liked that last hospital meal.
6. I hate the fear before surgery.
7. And I hate the pain post-surgery even more.
8. I really hate the fact that I can’t fight anesthesia.
9. I definitely hate sleeping in hospitals.
10. I hate how good they treated me cause I definitely loved it and I can’t say I hate it.
