Sydney’s beloved King Street Crawl has ballooned into a three-day festival, and after the last four months we’ve had, we deserve it.
King Street Carnival is a multi-genre, multi-day festival of music and booze, and it’ll be taking over Sydney Park Amphitheatre and Camperdown Rest Memorial Park on Friday, January 14 through to Sunday, January 16. The festival was originally slated for September 2021, so we’re psyched to see that despite Covid’s best efforts, it hasn’t been shelved for good.
Alright, over to the lineup featuring 60+ acts. We’ve got Australian royalty Yothu Yindi, Private Function, Hiatus Kaiyote, Middle Kids, Kaiit, Donny Benét, Amyl and the Sniffers, You Am I, JessB, Rolling Blackouts CF, Stella Donnelly, Caitlin Hartnett and the Pony Boys, The Lazy Eyes, The Buoys, Milan Ring, Touch, Sensitive, Harvey Sutherland… list goes on. There’s also two huge open-air parties from Heaps Gay and Inner West Reggae Disco Machine on offer, so hopefully come January you’ll be so well versed in the art of social interaction that rubbing shoulders with a stranger won’t send you into a tailspin.
