My screen froze over just watching this.
In short film Lure of the North, two travellers shuffle through the remote wilderness in Ontario, Canada, in conditions that wouldn’t look out of place in Game of Thrones (north of The Wall, of course) or The Revenant (after Leo right hooked that bear). In just two short minutes, director Goh Iromoto and his team nail the lonely yet eerily beautiful landscape with sophisticated sound design, camerawork, and edit. But where are the snow shufflers going? Did they ever get there? Where do I get myself a pair of those cool snowshoes? We’ll never know. Shut up and watch Lure of the North, above.
