The Best of Splendour in the Grass 2019

Splendour 2019 might be over, but the memories (and lack thereof) remain.

Aside from Chance the Rapper ducking out of Sunday’s lineup due to an illness that coincided with the approach of his new album, Australia’s biggest music festival certainly didn’t disappoint. Homegrown talent Tame Impala blew confetti canons and minds on Friday night, Childish Gambino proved he’s a genius on Saturday, and every other belter of an act in between made for a pretty magical weekend. But there’s one part of the festival that outshone them all: THE DAILY SPLENDOUR!

We worked and played hard to get our readers the best scoops, interviews, guides, and more from around the festival and backstage, and everyone (except for the one wet rag who texted us about a typo) seemed to dig it! We got a rare interview with Kevin Parker, talked the evolution of UK hip hop with The Streets, heard a spooky prediction from Santigold, sent our very own Cardinal Crombie out into the cattle yards to talk to punters and priests, and ate more Mary’s burgers than medically advised.

You can read every single issue of The Daily Splendour here, after you scroll down and check out the most incredible shots from across the mammoth weekend, courtesy of everyone’s favourite photographer in the field, James Adams.
