Nick Atkins is truly one of a kind.
Originally hailing from Boston, the multidisciplinary artist works with video, studio-based art, and commercial design in his New York studio. It’s some pretty wild shit, and you’ll find out exactly what we mean when you hit play above. We spent a day in the studio with Nick ahead of his solo show Patio, opening Thursday the 27th of June at Procell (5 Delancy Street, New York). The show focuses on Atkins’ continual exploration of myth through new paintings, sculpture, furniture, and jewellery—some of which we talked about in the above interview, when we weren’t talking about tiny plastic foxes, trips to Haiti and the illest artist of them all, Mother Nature.
