What are you doing this Saturday?
I’ll tell you what you’re doing, you’re going to Jack McCoy’s Talk Story Show at the MCA is what you’re doing. But if you haven’t yet snagged yourself a ticket to one of the best events at VIVID Ideas in Sydney, here’s what you’re going to miss out on if you don’t move faster than a gecko on meth.
In a two-hour audio-visual ‘talk story’, award-winning director, cinematographer and photographer Jack McCoy will take you behind the scenes of 25 of his iconic films what feature surfing legends, several Bunyips, and at least one Iguana.
But that’s not all! For the second part of the night, McCoy will be joined onstage by surfer Craig Anderson and filmmaker Kai Neville to premiere the duo’s new film The Quieter You Are, The More You Can Hear—which Ando said was ‘like pulling teeth to create’, so you know it’s going to be worth it—and ruminate on the future of surfing.
For anyone who has ever lost themselves inside one of McCoy’s seminal surf films, or wanted to be a fly on the wall for one of Kai and Craig’s era-defining creations, you’d be mad to miss this one-night-only event. You’d be certifiable. They’d lock you up.
Catch Jack McCoy’s Talk Story with Kai Neville and Craig Anderson this Saturday. June 1st, 2PM – 4PM at MCA by snagging tickets here.
