House of Vans came to Sydney and blew the roof off 901 Bourke St, Waterloo.
The Commune played host to the mammoth all-day event, featuring upcycle skate deck workshops, demos fromVans skate team members, grip tape design workshops, talks with original Z Boy Tony Alva, and a custom built skatepark. With vibes at an all-time high and the good folk at Chur Burger, El Taco Loco, and Mothersky keeping the crowd fed and watered, Sydney’s inaugural House of Vans couldn’t have gone better. But the best was yet to come.
When late afternoon hit, some of Australia’s most raucous punk rock bands took the stage: The Chats, West Thebarton, Pist Idiots, and Totty. Check out all the action from the weekend below, and pray for a House of Vans round two sometime in the near future.
