Up Close and Personal with The Rubens

Photos and words by Charlie Hardy

The five men from Menangle, otherwise known as The Rubens, are currently travelling across Australia as part of their LO LA RU tour.

They played a packed house at the Enmore Theatre last Friday night, and though they might be nearing the end of a hectic touring schedule that’s taken them across the country and the world, they showed no signs of slowing down. Frontman Sam Margin got up close and personal with the crowd, going up and over the barrier and joining the ranks of the spectators. He took his time weaving through the crowd, taking a moment to watch his brothers and fellow bandmates rocking out from the crowd’s perspective. We saw it all go down from depths of the photo pit thanks to Hurley, and we’d highly recommend getting to one of their gigs before they hang up their boots for the Lo La Ru tour. Check out all the action, below.
