Who has time to keep up with all the latest in streetwear drops?
Probably not you. ‘What’s a Virgil?’ you ask. ‘Aren’t fanny packs for elderly tourists?’ you despair. If your knowledge of the best in streetwear design begins and ends in the early 00’s with your BAPE hoodie, let us gently lead you by the hand to the latest release we think you’ll like.
Japanese designer Jun Takahashi (frequent collaborator with retail giants Nike and Uniqlo, mentored by Rei Kawakubo of Comme de Garcons, founder of streetwear label Undercover, you’re doing well stick with us) is the epitome of Tokyo style. It’s no surprise then, that Converse have tapped the versatile designer to apply elements from his Fall 2018 collection “Order/Disorder” onto the canvas of the Converse Chuck 70. In four distinct colourways—Black, White, Racing Red and Buttercup—on vintage canvas, Takahashi has opted for a high-gloss toe box, printed with the words “ORDER” and “DISORDER”. Each pair also features silver hardware, co-branded sock liners and tonal laces for a sleek expression.
A little education, a lotta nice pairs of shoes.
The Converse x Undercover collection is available now exclusively on converse.com.au and Supply Store for $150.
