Watch Skater Sammy Montano Explore the Balkans in ‘Temple’

You know those dipsticks that talk through the film at the cinema?

That’s who we’d feel like right now if we dragged your attention away from this incredible short film for too long with our words. What you should know before hitting play on the above video, however, is that it was created by filmmakers Pierre David and Douglas Guillot in and around the series of structures known as the Spomeniks. The WWII memorials, built during the ‘60s and ‘70s, are imposing structures located in former Yugoslavia, and provide the stunning backdrop for skater Sammy Montano’s role within this visual ode to a tumultuous era within Eastern European history. You may now watch Temple, above.
