adidas’ Das Days is coming to Melbourne.
Following on from the success of the international installments of Das Days (LA and NYC), this Saturday 14th—tomorrow, as it’s otherwise known—will see the unique format skate jam hit Australia’s cultural capital. The event will feature an open skate jam with custom built street obstacles, a gallery featuring pieces by Dave Chami, Sid Tapia and a pop bar and food trucks. adidas skateboarding Australian team riders Dennis Durrant, Gabriel Summers, Kayle Lawson, Morgan Campbell, Adam Davies and LP Nuku will all be in attendance, so feel free to clink a tin and have a chat.
The shindig is also in aid of the recent release of the 3MC, the brand’s most versatile vulcanized shoe to date (and one of the most aesthetically pleasing if we should be so bold). As if all that wasn’t enough to get your arse off the couch on a Saturday, there’s also going to be a concert headlined by Melbourne locals Tyrannamen, a grungy garage blues band made up of members of iconic Melbourne bands Twerps and Whipper. A quick glance at the forecast reveals that it’s going to be 14 degrees without a cloud in the sky on Saturday, so get along for a brew, skate and some music. Winter just got a little less depressing.
