A Day in the Life, with Gonz and JanSport

Film by Danilo Parra, Photos by Zander Taketomo

I’m constantly losing things.

Just ask my wife: wallet, keys, phone, brain pills, you name it. But that was all until JanSport teamed up with Gonz to create a series of limited edition carry-alls—backpacks, fanny packs, the whole kit and caboodle—featuring his famed ghost and group hug art. Now I’ve really got my shit together.

If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that Gonz’s belongings are a lot more valuable than the pitiful vape pen and velcro zip wallet I’m getting around with. So if he’s banking on the new JanSport bags to transport his most treasured belongings, I’m going to do the responsible thing and follow suit.

Where can you view these bags? We’re glad you asked. We’ll be showing the entire collection, along with some of Mark’s art and wall mural at our brand new space 1700 Naud in DTLA, Friday June 1st. from 6pm to 10pm. If you can’t make it to the show, keep your wallets primed for the Gonz x JanSport range available online soon.
