Visual artist Nick Thomm‘s work is a colorful, contemporary meltdown. Neon, highly saturated and textural collages hypnotize viewers with decadent layers and iconic faces. He explains, “A lot of my work references cultural icons in an attempt to use things that people already understand.” Now Nick has created several decks for Globe skateboards with that ethos in mind.

Nick works in several formats; wheatpasted posters, large-scale prints, his magazine SRC783, neon lights, and more. “Part of what I do is combine lots of techniques and mediums to, in a sense, remove the digital element in my work.” We visited the artist at his Melbourne-based studio to feast our eyes on his latest creations.
