The first of it’s kind in Australia, the Melbourne Photobook Festival is an artist run initiative bringing together the expertise and insight of some of the worlds greatest photographers, graphic designers, publishers and printers for a week of creative workshops and exhibitions, as well as talks and studio visits from international and local artists.
The festival creates a forum of discussion between artists, publishers and audiences to exchange new ideas for those who share an obsessive appreciation of the photography and print worlds, cumulating in the enormous Photo Book fair held at the CCP Gallery. The festival features thousands of zines and photo books from all around the world alongside indie, street photo book makers and producers. If you’re an enthusiast or maker you can even be involved by contacting hello@photobookmelbourne.
