EMPTY STRETCH PUBLISHING

These guys are great, albeit a little cheeky: they sent four zines for review. I guess that’s not so cheeky, but it was a bitch for me to photograph. I kinda blew it actually; the light in the office is pretty murky today, plus I’m not exactly renowned for my picture taking. I’ve been told I don’t know what a good photo is. In fact some people have said that I’m ‘shit-house’ at taking photos. At least I know the difference between a gerund and a participle, which is more than I can say for most photographers. Don’t get me started.

Anyway, the dudes at Empty Stretch sent these zines over and they’re really cool. Empty Stretch is an independent publisher of photography zines and books. They set up shop in 2010 and since then have released forty publications, presented a series of lectures, and curated a dozen shows and pop-ups, working with various galleries and some 600 photographers from around the world.

They’re always looking for new photographers to publish (you can submit work through their website), and they also offer full service design assistance and consultation, from critique of an already made product to full design work and assistance in printing. Pretty cool.
